Volunteering at CornerHouse is hands-on, educational, and rewarding. Check out our volunteer opportunities below:

Interact with children, adolescents, and vulnerable adults before and after their interviews (4 hours/week).

Every day is different! Help us complete various projects that will improve our efficiency and better serve clients. Remote and work from home volunteer opportunities are available.

As a Child Advocacy Center, our mission is to partner with families, communities, and systems to reduce trauma and end abuse. This work demands bold leadership and compassionate collaboration. As a part of the CornerHouse board, you bring your voice, expertise, and commitment to the heart of our decisions—helping to shape a future where healing is possible, equity is prioritized, and every child and family can thrive.

Purpose: The CornerHouse Board of Directors is composed of both members from partner organizations as well as at - large members from a variety of organizations. The board provides strategic leadership, fiduciary oversight, and mission-driven guidance that ensures organizational integrity, accountability, and long-term sustainability. Board members serve as stewards of the organization’s vision, leveraging their expertise and diverse perspectives to support leadership, uphold ethical standards, and advance community impact.
Meeting Time: 4th Tuesday of every other month, 8am - 10am

Purpose: The CornerHouse Impact Board is a passionate associate board that champions CornerHouse’s mission to end child abuse and reduce trauma through leadership, advocacy, and community engagement. Acting as ambassadors, members amplify awareness, build partnerships, and mobilize resources—most notably through organizing the annual Saints Baseball Fundraiser, a key event that fuels CornerHouse’s trauma-informed work and celebrates community support.
Meeting Time: 3rd Tuesday of every other month, 4pm - 5pm. Additional meetings April - July leading up to the Saints fundraiser.

Purpose: The philanthropy committee is comprised of both board members and others who provide governance of the annual fundraising plan as well as the capacity building campaign. In addition, they are the liaison with the board of directors creating and implementing board driven philanthropic goals and assuring philanthropic engagement of the members in their unique capacities. Support the development staff with meet & greets and donor cultivation activities/events for major donors, sponsors, and foundations.
Meeting Time: 2nd Tuesday of the month from 4pm - 5pm

Purpose: The Committee is a standing body appointed by the Board of Directors to ensure organizational policies align with CornerHouse’s mission and strategic goals. It guides engagement with government agencies and regulators, advocates for legislative support, educates elected officials, collaborates with coalitions, and translates mandates into actionable policy—while monitoring trends that impact CornerHouse’s work and effectiveness.
Meeting Time: The committee meets monthly for 1 hour, or when necessary, at the call of the committee chairperson.

Fundraising Event Committees
Committee members work to build out the event; assist in identifying potential supporters; facilitate engagement; and assist in producing the event.

Purpose: Work with the St Paul Saints to create a baseball fundraiser during one of the Saints home games at CHS field. Use the event to raise funds and promote awareness for CornerHouse’s services designed to address and reduce the traumatic effects of abuse. Event is typically the last Tuesday of July at 7:00 PM

Purpose: Plan, create and implement a cocktail event that brings together donors, partners, and businesses to unite to end child abuse. Event takes place in April
