Service Delivery Updates During COVID-19

CornerHouse Plans for COVID-19

Dear Partners, Clients, and Friends of CornerHouse,

We are writing to you to share our response and updates to our service delivery as we address the current health crisis. CornerHouse provides response, intervention, and healing services in cases of abuse impacting youth and other vulnerable individuals.

We understand that the need for the services we provide may increase during this time. Our staff is experienced in serving in times of crisis and we will continue to provide our services in a format fit for the health and safety of our staff and clients.

Forensic Interviewing Services

  • Forensic interviewing services will be maintaining minimal capacity during the next few weeks

  • Our staff will continue to follow extremely stringent sanitizing procedures and practice social distancing

  • If you have a question or a referral during business hours, please call 612-813-8300 as usual, and your call will be routed to someone who can help you.

Family Services

  • All in-person therapy appointments and support groups have been postponed

  • Family Services staff will continue to provide support and resources through phone sessions and check-ins

  • We will still be taking community calls and have regular access to our phone lines

Training

  • Our Vulnerable Adult Training scheduled for March 24th will be rescheduled for a later time

  • All other trainings are moving forward at this time, but updates will be posted as needed

  • If you would like to connect about upcoming trainings, please contact Deidre Hoppe at 612-445-9423

Fundraising & Special Events

  • Our upcoming fundraising event, CornerHouse Kids Breakfast, has been postponed and a fall event will be scheduled

  • In the meantime, donations are important to CornerHouse now more than ever as we know that incidents of abuse will be increaseing during this time. Please look for communications on how you can support children and families relying on CornerHouse, or donate here.

We will continue to share updates via email and social media as our response evolves. The safety and health of our clients and staff remains our top priority, but we feel fortunate to be able to provide limited and remote services, especially while the need is so great.

Wishing you all the best,

Mitzi Hobot
