Scholarship Information

Please note until further notice we cannot accept scholarship applications for courses past the date of June 30th, 2024. This is when our Children’s Justice Act Funding expires.

Scholarships for our Vulnerable Adult Forensic Interviewing Course (June 4-7), Collecting Minimal Facts (March 26), and Vulnerable Adults Recognize, Respond, and Report Abuse and Neglect ARE STILL AVAILABLE.

We are currently in the process of renewing this grant funding and will update this page as soon as we have information.

Although we are hopeful this funding source will be renewed, we cannot grant scholarship dollars we do not currently have.

Thank you for your interest in attending training at CornerHouse! The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) funds a limited number of scholarships that cover the cost of the fee CornerHouse charges to provide this training.

Scholarship recipients are responsible for any and all other costs of attending this trainings including travel, lodging, some meals and any other incidental expenses. Scholarship recipients are also responsible for a $200 non-refundable registration fee. The fee is only charged if the applicant received and accepts the scholarship.

Scholarships are awarded based on the following criteria:

  1. Employment in the state of Minnesota. DHS scholarships are not available to individuals or teams from other states or countries.

  2. A complete, timely application form. Applications that are incomplete or late will not be considered.

  3. Application does not guarantee space in a course. Please refer to the training calendar to include and rank your dates of choice “First, Second', Third”.

The application can be found here. Once complete, please send it to Training@cornerhousemn.org.

If you have any questions about the application process, please contact the CornerHouse Training Program at Training@cornerhousemn.org or contacting our External Relations Coordinator at (612)444-1164.
