New Board Members and Officers Added
CornerHouse is a unique public and private partnership. The Board of Directors consists of twenty-three members. Twelve of the positions are representatives of the founding agencies, Hennepin County, the city of Minneapolis, and Children's Hospitals & Clinics. The other members are private citizens volunteering their time as Board members.
The CornerHouse Board is active year round with regular Board meetings every other month and frequent committee meetings. In addition to board and governance activities and the Board supports CornerHouse through fundraising and raising community awareness activities. CornerHouse and its clients are fortunate to have the support of an active and committed Board of Directors.
CornerHouse is very pleased to announce the addition of new members to the Board of Directors.
Seth Leventhal, a partner at the Dorsey & Whitney law firm, joined in September 2006. He continues a tradition of Dorsey partners serving on the CornerHouse Board. Dorsey partner Jay Cook served on the Board from 1995 through 2005.
Chief Mike Siitari joined in February 2007. Chief Ed Belland, of the Medina Police Department joined in January 2007.
County Attorney Mike Freeman appointed Senior Attorney Judy Johnston to serve as his representative.
Representing Dr. Alan Goldbloom, CEO of Children’s Hospitals, Dr. Thomas Hellmich joined in February 2007.
Larry Pobuda is the Chair of the Board of Directors. The other officers are Arlene Clapp Gumingo, Past Chair; Judy Baker, Secretary; and Lori Larson, Vice-Chair/Treasurer.
